Getting in

• North Eleuthera Airport: This is the practical air gateway. Take a taxi from the airport to the North Eleuthera ferry dock (about US$5 per person), then the water taxi/ferry across to Harbour Island (about US$5 per person). The crossing itself is short; allow roughly 15–30 minutes airport-to-Harbour-Island dock once you include loading and a possible wait for the boat to fill. Porters commonly handle bags from the tarmac onward and expect a tip—Wikivoyage suggests about US$5 for three bags. Do not pay for an elaborate prearranged “island transfer” unless you need a private boat or have unusual luggage.
