Getting in

• Dominique Edward Osok Airport, Sorong: This is the real gateway. Take a fixed-price airport taxi or car to Pelabuhan Rakyat (People’s Port), about 10–20 minutes and roughly Rp50,000–100,000, then the public ferry to Waisai: about 2 hours; recent reported one-way fare is around Rp125,000. The published pattern is a daily 14:00 sailing plus extra morning departures on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but check locally—boat timetables are operational facts, not promises. Do not pay for an expensive private speedboat unless a missed ferry genuinely costs you a booked dive or homestay night.
• Marinda Airport, Waisai: Useful only if its limited Sorong/Manado-linked flight schedule happens to fit; it is not a substitute for planning around Sorong and the ferry. Arrange pickup with your Waisai hotel, dive resort or homestay before landing rather than assuming an airport taxi rank or public transport will be waiting.
